I have the same slim blu ray player and it works well on my computer and monitor. Does your have one or two USb plugs (older style)? How is the computer connected to the monitor? What blu ray discs are you trying to play -- commercial or home made? Are you using a USB port on the back of your computer? The ones in the front and those on a hub will not work properly. Brother control center for scanning. Hi stevek, I will run the CyberLink check when I get home, thanks for the tip. I checked the drives firmware and it is up to date, no problems there. And even if CyberLink moved to a new version it would be a shame if they bundle their older software with hardware which is clearly also used for the poruse of watching BluRay movies. Not supporting BluRay movies on a BluRay drive is somehow inadequate. However, one can argue that the fault lies with the hardware ventor, in this case Samsung. Hi Michael, thank you for your response. Initially I did exactly that. However, the download speed was so painstrikingly (ca. 10kb/s) slow that I aborted the download and searched the web for an alternative patch to download faster. Apparently I found this retail patch that you describe. I will however follow your advice, uninstall, reinstall and patch from within the program again, hoping that this time the download speed might be a bit higher.
